Janelle Chevalier was a young girl of twelve. Normal, right? Well, Janelle had a special something to her; she talked to the dead. At first, she could ignore it, living with it on a normal daily basis had her mastering the ability to just...turn a blind eye to anything paranormal. Except for her mother's death.
Her uncle, a shaman-killer, thinks she has something to do with his sister-in-law's death and has sworn to kill Janelle even though he has direct orders from his Master to let the girl live. Why? Because Janelle seemingly has stronger powers than other 'shamans'. For some reason...the girl just doesn't die.
And where does Death come in all of this? Meanwhile, on the other side of the world in a hidden kingdom, King Tekaron must diffuse the tension that arose within his land upon hearing some worrying news. The elves fear that the history is repeating itself.
